The Discovery API uses AI to convert your natural language description into a structured query. You describe the people you're looking for in plain English (e.g., "marketing directors at fintech companies in New York"), and the API interprets your intent, identifies the relevant filters, and returns matching profiles from our database.
The Discovery API has a default rate limit of 50 requests per minute per API key. Higher limits are available for enterprise customers. Each request can return up to 100 results. For high-volume needs, consider the Search API or bulk data licensing.
The Discovery API is best for exploratory searches and quick queries where you don't want to write SQL. The Search API gives you precise control with SQL-like WHERE clauses. Both access the same underlying data and return the same profile format.
The AI model is optimized for professional and B2B queries. It handles job titles, company names, industries, locations, seniority levels, company sizes, and other professional attributes. Complex queries with multiple criteria work well.
